We Take The Cake review & giveaway ((CLOSED))

When I contacted 'We Take The Cake' to review one of their cakes or cupcakes last month, I received a reply back from Lori Karmel, the Owner stating that I could choose any Cake or Cupcake on their website that I wanted! I knew almost immediately which cake that I wanted to try. I chose the Prize-Winning Chocolate Cake! This cake is definitely made for Chocohalics like myself! It has dense and rich Chocolate buttermilk cake filled and frosted with chocolate cream cheese frosting. Finished with a drizzle of rich chocolate ganache and topped with chocolate curls. It's their best selling cake since 1997. This fabulous cake was chosen as the Best Mail Order Cake by InStyle Magazine! It was delivered to my door with dry ice and kept nice and cold for when we're ready to eat it. It was definitely sweet and the chocolate curls on top of the cake were crushed during shipment and it states on their site that this may happen. It was still delicious! We honestly couldn't eat it all. It was filling so you don't need a huge slice at a time unless you're really, really hungry!! :) I would love to eventually try their Cupcakes which look so yummy! Here's a nugget of truth: their 'Key Lime Bundt Cake' was chosen as one of Oprah's Favorite Things!!

Here's a little info about the Company: "Back in 1997, We Take The Cake began as a modest mail-order bakery. This was before I even knew they existed! Well, a few years later, I happened to visit this bakery to buy a cake for my son Sean's third birthday. The rest, as they say, is history...it was definitely love at first bite, and I ended up buying the business! Since then, I've updated the look and feel of the company to reflect our team's fun, whimsical personality. We've also added custom designs. But there's one thing that we've kept the same...and it's the wholesome, homemade recipes that I fell in love with in the first place."
